About The Position

Morgan Truck Body is hiring a Welder for its manufacturing operation in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. The role operates welding equipment to fuse aluminum, steel, and galvanneal components used in truck bodies. Welders prepare materials, set up and maintain machines, inspect welds, apply multiple welding methods, and follow safety and quality requirements. The position offers opportunities to learn, earn certifications, and advance into production leadership roles.

Requirements

• Successfully pass a weld test demonstrating welding skill and quality.
• Proficiency welding mild steel and galvanneal materials.
• At least 6 months of welding experience or completion of welding school training.
• Basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills.
• Basic experience using hand tools.
• Ability to understand and accurately apply measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Previous experience working on truck bodies.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to weld metals accurately to customer and company specifications.
• Operate heavy equipment, including saws, to prepare materials.
• Set up machines and perform preventative maintenance.
• Inspect welds for defects and ensure work meets quality standards.
• Learn and apply multiple welding methods and earn relevant certifications.
• Perform safety and quality checks.
• Follow and promote all safety policies.
