About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is hiring a Welder to join its manufacturing operations. The role uses Gas Metal Arc and Metal Core Arc welding processes to weld parts to print specifications, inspects parts, and sets up and adjusts welders and fixtures. The Welder also performs rework using carbon arc air gouging and cutting, and uses hand grinders to fit parts, repair defective welds, and grind welds flush as needed. Other related duties may be assigned. Paid training is provided. The listed pay tops out at $35.57 per hour, plus a shift premium for second and third shifts. The posted second-shift schedule is 2:45 p.m. to 10:55 p.m., Monday through Friday; the third-shift schedule is 10:45 p.m. to 6:55 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The posting states that applicants may also be considered for Floater Cylinder Cell W, Production Support Weld, or Welder positions. Crown does not provide sponsorship for work authorization.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read and follow work instructions to ensure quality.

Nice To Haves

Previous welding experience.
Ability to read blueprints, use a tape measure, understand weld symbols, perform basic math, reason, and analyze.
