About The Position

QuikCut, LLC is seeking experienced Welder/Fitters for its Fort Wayne location. The role involves fitting, welding, and assembling metal components in accordance with detailed blueprints and project specifications. It requires precision craftsmanship, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work safely and efficiently.

This is a second-shift position scheduled Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., with a $3-per-hour shift premium.

Requirements

• Experience as a Welder/Fitter.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Perform welding operations using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick.
• Fit and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards.
