About The Position

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a Welder for its Fire Fabrication shop. The role uses a universal welder to cut and weld steel pipe. The position is on second shift and pays $25.69 per hour. Employees must be able to work Saturdays, extended hours, and weekends as required.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of welding experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Dependability, good attendance, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions and communicate with others.
• Ability to push, pull, or regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk during 8–12-hour shifts.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work Saturdays, extended hours, and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

• Pipe welding experience.
• Welding certificates.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Take measurements and plan layouts.
• Set up welding machines according to specifications.
• Weld components using semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Maintain equipment in a safe condition.
• Test machine welds to ensure quality.
• Hand-weld any leaks found during the quality penetration die test.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
