About The Position

Advantage Steel Fabrication of Saxonburg, PA, is looking for a full-time entry to mid-level Welder to weld and fabricate parts for bridges and buildings. As a welder at Advantage Steel, you will have the ability to work hands on with structures that will be integrated into the infrastructure. Advantage Steel Fabrication Shop fabricates structural components for construction projects that include Bridges, Buildings, Foundation Work, Locks and Dams and other miscellaneous structures. Advantage primarily fabricates Steel and Stainless-Steel structures.

Requirements

2-5 years of welding or fabrication experience required
Ability to work in a code-driven welding environment (or willingness to learn)
Experience with plasma cutting or torch cutting steel
High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and weld symbols preferred
Willingness to learn additional fabrication equipment (saws, CNC drilling, press brake)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
trade/technical school preferred

Responsibilities

Perform welding, cutting, and grinding on various metal components
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to transport materials
Utilize welding processes such as FCAW (Flux-Cored), SAW (Submerged Arc), GMAW (MIG), and GTAW (TIG)
Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and weld symbols
Maintain quality standards that meet or exceed company and customer expectations
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently
