About The Position

The welder has primary responsibility of TIG welding stainless steel parts. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area. This role involves performing TIG welding based on product needs, welding round and rectangular elements. The welder will also read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform necessary tasks. Knowledge of QC and product specifications is required, as well as the ability to de-bur and grind metal to achieve proper surface texture. The position requires conserving resources to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction, and knowledge of welding safety procedures and willingness to use provided PPEs. The ability to perform Substrate Assembly Technician duties as required and other assigned duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

High School Diploma.
1 + year(s) experience with metal working equipment in a metal fabrication facility.
Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner.
Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
Knowledge of safe workplace practices.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.

Nice To Haves

Welding certification a plus.
Prior work experience as a MIG or TIG welder helpful.

Responsibilities
