Welder - Turnaround
About The Position
This is a seasonal position for an experienced Welder to perform GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and/or FCAW welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe. The role involves reading and interpreting various technical drawings, following welding procedures, and maintaining weld quality according to industry standards. The Welder will work in a fabrication shop and/or field environment, collaborating with other trades and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. Availability for various shifts, overtime, and emergency callouts is required, along with the ability to work in demanding refinery conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of pipe welding experience preferred
- Must pass a pipe weld test (typically 6G)
- Experience with stainless steel, particularly titanium, and carbon steel piping
- Ability to weld Schedule 10 through heavy wall pipe
- Familiarity with American Society of Mechanical Engineers Section IX welding requirements preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and isometric drawings
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic required
- Acceptable MVR/Background Check and pass pre-employment screenings
- Valid TWIC Card

Responsibilities
- Perform GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and/or FCAW welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, spool sheets, and welding procedures
- Follow approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Fit-up and weld process piping systems
- Maintain weld quality in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers, project specifications and applicable codes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and site-specific safety requirements
- Work with fitters, supervisors, and QA/QC personnel to complete projects efficiently
- Meet production schedules and quality standards
- Maintain welding qualifications and continuity records as required
- Work safely in a fabrication shop and/or field environment
