About The Position

The Welder/Fitter I position is a vital member of the Operations Team contributing to our safety culture, providing high productivity, accurate fit-welds, high quality finish welds, flexibility in assignments, and supporting continuous improvement in the following capacities: Key Responsibilities Include Fit small parts like chutes, brackets, troughs, plate pack parts, scum pipes, some floc parts, guards, some belt conveyor parts, some slide gate parts, supports Using blueprints, tooling, fixturing, fit-weld JMS equipment to proper dimensional arrangements Perform Tig welds on a variety of thicknesses, sizes, and orientations of equipment (mainly 316 and 304 SS) Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Use basic hand tools such as tape measure, level, square, etc.

Requirements

  • Fit small parts like chutes, brackets, troughs, plate pack parts, scum pipes, some floc parts, guards, some belt conveyor parts, some slide gate parts, supports
  • Using blueprints, tooling, fixturing, fit-weld JMS equipment to proper dimensional arrangements
  • Perform Tig welds on a variety of thicknesses, sizes, and orientations of equipment (mainly 316 and 304 SS)
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Use basic hand tools such as tape measure, level, square, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, etc…
  • Read tape measure
  • Perform mathematical calculations required for fabrication
  • Understand and comfortable adding and subtracting fractions and decimals
  • Basic tool and shop knowledge
