About The Position
SMS group is seeking a Welder/Fabricator who is mechanically inclined and looking to expand their skill sets in both welding and mechanical areas. This role involves performing various welding operations on different metals and positions, adhering to specific welding standards.
Requirements
- Good mechanical skills
- Good working knowledge of mechanical tools
- Self-motivation to identify, analyze and independently work to find solutions is essential
- Ability to learn and understand critical processes and operations in assigned areas as provided by coworkers, leaders and supervisors
Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations such as Arc, MIG, TIG brazing and burning in all positions on a variety of metals.
- Weld SMAW, GMAW, GTAW standards; vertical up, vertical down, and horizontal.
