About The Position

ISC manufacturing is seeking an experienced mig fabricator/welder. ISC is a local manufacturing company that designs and fabricates complex systems and parts in a wide array of industries such as Agriculture, Mining, Aggerates, Construction, Waste Processing, and Conveying. We are looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder with a minimum of 2 year of experience in MIG/FCAW processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in MIG Welding.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Proven experience in similar industries.
  • Proficient in GMAW (.035 and .045 ) FCAW (.045 and 1/16”) .035 and.045 316LSI Stainless Steel.
  • Able to weld 14ga up to 1” + Carbon steel and Stainless Steel.
  • Proficient in reading tape measures.
  • Self-starter and quality minded.
  • Experience in layout and fitting, various CNC cut and manual formed parts.
  • Be able to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines for production needs.
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, grinders. etc.).
  • Must be able to use wrenches and basic hand tools to assemble part assemblies prior or after welding to assure quality fit up.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Must be able to rig/lift heavy odd, shaped parts safely and effectively with forklifts/overhead cranes.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
  • Demonstrates ability to be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy and verbal directions.
  • Must have a good work ethic and be able to adjust to change, be a role model for others and lead by example.
  • Willing to be a team player, take ownership, be honest, act with integrity and willing to contribute to the success of the company.
  • Must embrace safety as a core value by following all company policies and procedures.
  • This position requires Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, push, reach overhead and outward frequently.
  • Also requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand or walk up to 10 hours per day.
  • Must Provide Basic tools. (squares, tape measure, levels, welding hood, layout tools)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Screw Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Mixers, and Heavy equipment Fabrication is a plus.
  • Certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Hydraulic shear, press brake, part assembly skills are a plus but not required.
  • Tig Welding experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and drawings and set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Operate angle grinders, drill presses, handheld plasma, oxy fuel torch, ironworker, to prepare the parts that must be welded.
  • Weld components in all positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead).
  • Work off ground 12’ or more on occasion. (using ladders /boom lifts).
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Always follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and project coordination.
  • Must pass welding test prior to hiring.
  • Will require a D1.1 Certification test after hiring.
  • If hired there will be a 30-90-day probation period.
