Welder / Fabricator
About The Position
Mark Rite Lines Equipment Company, a subsidiary of Federal Signal, is seeking a Welder / Fabricator. This role involves evaluating engineering drawings, performing welding on various metal objects using gas torches and welders, and utilizing forming, cutting, and other hand/power tools. The position requires ensuring the quality of finished products through evaluation and quality checks, and accurately cutting metal according to diagrams and specifications. The company is a leader in designing and manufacturing high-quality pavement marking equipment for road striping and maintenance machinery, serving government agencies, private contractors, and municipalities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years mechanical assembly experience may be required
Responsibilities
- Evaluate engineering drawings and ensure implementation according to welding specifications
- Perform all welding work with help of forming and cutting equipment
- Perform efficient welding of various metal objects with help of gas torch and welder
- Perform work with help of various hand and power tools
- Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products
- Analyze diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordingly with help of welding torch
