About The Position

Horsepower Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to build laser-cut, automated parts into complete welded assemblies from start to finish. The work includes primarily production MIG welding at volume, along with regular TIG welding on select assemblies, grinding, finishing, and quality verification. The position is based in a fully air-conditioned facility and involves producing off-road truck parts. Available schedules are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. Pay is $20–$26 per hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years old.
At least 1 year of experience working in a production environment.
Ability to work either the first shift (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) or second shift (2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.).
Strong working knowledge of MIG and TIG welding techniques.
Experience with production welding and assembly workflows.
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, bending, cut-off saws, and grinders.
Ability to read and interpret CAD prints and product schematics.
Self-motivated and responsive to production metrics.
Team-oriented approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding or fabrication experience (listed as preferred).

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel structures according to CAD print requirements.
Build complete assemblies from start to finish, including grinding and finishing.
Read and interpret product schematics and verify dimensions against specifications.
Track daily production build counts and workflow.
Operate manufacturing tools and welding equipment according to job specifications.
Ensure quality standards are met for every weld and build.
Follow all safety standards.
