About The Position

The Welder/Fabricator at Screen Machine Industries LLC performs welding operations to fabricate metal components accurately and efficiently according to specifications. The role requires proficiency in welding techniques, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to quality workmanship. The Welder/Fabricator collaborates with the fabrication team to ensure work meets production standards and deadlines.

This is a day-shift position consisting of 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, and is subject to overtime.

Requirements

• Proven experience with metal fabrication and welding, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Skilled in welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks.
• Willingness to work extended shifts or overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform fit-up and welding operations using MIG or other required welding methods.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete welding tasks accurately.
• Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning and positioning materials appropriately.
• Inspect welded components for quality, strength, and conformity to specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with production team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Assist with troubleshooting fabrication issues as needed.
