About The Position
The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in support of facility maintenance, equipment repair, and operational improvements. This position supports the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment by fabricating, repairing, and modifying metal components used throughout company operations. The Welder is expected to produce consistent, high-quality welds while adhering to company safety standards, maintenance procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in an industrial environment with varying conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a welding qualification test/exam.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, fabrication practices, and metal properties.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Must provide and maintain personal welding tools.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing requirements.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 4 years of welding and fabrication experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks to support plant operations, equipment repair, and facility maintenance.
- Execute MIG, stick, and/or other welding processes as required based on job specifications.
- Repair, modify, and fabricate metal components, structures, trailers, and equipment.
- Operate welding tools, cutting equipment, grinders, and related shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and fabrication requirements.
- Ensure all welding work meets company quality standards and safety expectations.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, strength, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and hot work protocols.
- Assist with general maintenance or fabrication support tasks as assigned.
