About The Position

Ultimation Industries is seeking skilled Welders and Fabricators to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components and structures for custom conveyor systems and material handling equipment used in various industrial facilities. This hands-on position requires a strong commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and safety, and involves MIG welding as the primary process, blueprint reading, and supporting mechanical assembly when needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a welder and fabricator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding with consistent quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or welding certification.
  • Experience with conveyor systems or industrial automation components.
  • Knowledge of TIG, stick, or other welding processes in addition to MIG.
  • Overhead crane and/or forklift experience.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for supporting assembly tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with experience in a production team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Perform MIG welding as the primary process; TIG, stick, and other welding methods as required by the job.
  • Operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
  • Apply metal finishing techniques as needed to meet quality and appearance standards.
  • Inspect welds and finished products for quality and compliance with standards before release.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and best practices in welding and fabrication.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely as needed to move materials and components.
  • Assist with mechanical assembly of conveyor systems and related components when required.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure smooth workflow across the operation.
