About The Position
Premier Truck Sales & Rental, Inc. is seeking experienced Welder / Fabricators for its expanding Fabrication Division. The role involves modifying and installing Roll-Off Hoist and Tarper Systems on new Kenworth chassis. Work includes fabrication and installation tasks, along with welding GMAW up to 3/4-inch steel using gas-shielded flux-core wire. The position is hourly, with overtime and a monthly incentive; pay is commensurate with experience and is not flat rate. The position is Monday through Friday on the day shift, with no weekends. Premier offers work in a new 28,000-square-foot shop described as well-lit, well-equipped, and safe. Positions are available immediately for the right experienced candidate.
Requirements
- Experience as a Welder / Fabricator; the posting seeks an experienced candidate.
- Knowledge of layout and fabrication.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical installations.
- Ability to perform GMAW welding up to 3/4-inch steel with gas-shielded flux-core wire.
- Ability to weld in horizontal, vertical-up, and overhead out-of-position positions.
- Basic tools are required.
Responsibilities
- Modify and install Roll-Off Hoist and Tarper Systems on new Kenworth chassis.
- Perform fabrication and installation work involving hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Carry out GMAW welding on steel up to 3/4 inch using gas-shielded flux-core wire, including horizontal, vertical-up, and overhead out-of-position welding.
- Use an overhead crane, tow motor, and various power tools.
