About The Position
IRD manufactures industrial test equipment used in the rotating apparatus industry. We are currently looking for a welder fabricator who will provide their detail skills to welding and assembling our IRD Balancers and Lexseco Core Loss Testers. You will also operate a saw in our small manufacturing facility in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a great opportunity to set up shop in our state of the art facility.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in air conditioned shop environment.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, etc.
- Must be able to read welding diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- Must have 3 years experience in fabrication and welding of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Must have a strong work ethic and a willingness to perform a variety of duties as required.
Nice To Haves
- Spray paint experience
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld to comply with IRD documentation and quality requirements.
- Assist with assembly.
- Operate a saw.
- Stage and layup parts.
