About The Position

The Welder III is an advanced-level welding position, responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. All work is completed with little supervision. This role requires mastery of all aspects of the level 2 position, qualification to weld on all products required for the facility, and the maintenance of technical qualifications. Daily work is complex, requiring independent work with little supervision, and the ability to assist with developing or modifying current procedures. The position applies extensive knowledge and skill to complete a wide range of tasks, including operating specialized equipment and understanding complex drawings and diagrams. Work requires planning and judgment, and the ability to work safely and accurately with prompt and dependable attendance.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
3+ years of welding experience preferred.
Excellent problem solving skills
Fits and completes final welds in the vertical position
Perform stick welding
Advanced layout and fitting skills
Perform multi-position welds daily
