About The Position

The Welder III is an advanced-level welding position responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. Work is complex and is completed independently with little supervision. The role requires qualification to weld all products required for the facility, maintaining technical qualifications, operating specialized equipment, and understanding complex drawings and diagrams. The Welder III may assist with developing new procedures or modifying existing ones and uses extensive knowledge and skill to complete a wide range of tasks.

Requirements

• Mastered all aspects of the Level 2 position.
• Qualified to weld on all products required for the facility.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to fit and complete final welds in the vertical position.
• Ability to perform stick welding and daily multi-position welds.
• Advanced layout and fitting skills.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to work with others and with little supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of welding experience preferred.
