About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Weld Technician - 3rd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $25.44/hr per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential. Weld Technicians will also follow a wage progression schedule and will reach $27.40 per hour after 12 months. The Welding Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and precision of welded components. The technician will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, participating in quality inspections, and collaborating within a cross-functional team of skills welders.

Requirements

A minimum of six (6) months’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Must be able to use a tape measure and calipers.
Must be able to wear PPE, including helmets, aprons, sleeves, gloves.
