About The Position

Anchor Fabrication has immediate openings for motivated Weld Fabricators to work in a fast-paced, quality-centered environment. This is a second-shift position in a weld shop, scheduled from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. The role involves welding a range of materials and processes, reading weld symbols and blueprints, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Physical weld testing on-site must be acceptable.

The position requires prolonged standing and the ability to lift 50 pounds and position welding apparatus as required by the work. Duties may also involve bending, kneeling, and stooping. The work environment includes exposure to shop noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of welding experience.
• Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to position welding apparatus in any position required by the work.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stoop as required.
• Acceptable results on an on-site physical weld test.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in the industrial manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Understand and use weld symbols.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding, including robot welding.
• Freehand-weld aluminum.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Use a large belt sander.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Use proper personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
