About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a Welcome Desk Representative for their Glenwood YMCA location. This role involves greeting and assisting members and guests, ensuring a positive experience, and serving as the face of the building. The representative will handle new member enrollment, provide facility tours, and educate individuals on the YMCA's mission, volunteer opportunities, campaigns, events, and financial assistance. This position also involves maintaining member records, ensuring compliance with standards, and participating in YMCA events.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, communication and organization.
Computer knowledge and data entry skills.
General knowledge of cash handling procedures and basic math skills.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist all members and guests, ensuring a positive and enriching experience.

Assist with the enrollment of new members.
Provide facility tours.
Educate members and guests on the YMCA's mission, volunteer opportunities, annual community support campaign, special events, and financial assistance.
Communicate with members about available programs.
Balance daily work and keep the welcome desk clean and in order.
Keep membership records up to date and accurate.
Ensure compliance with YMCA standards and government regulations.
Attend and participate in YMCA family events and program activities.
