About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment at a client site by actively monitoring the premises and patrolling a variety of locations. The officer observes and reports activities and incidents, safeguards client property and personnel, preserves order, and enforces site regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. Officers may also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.

This role is listed at $14.25 per hour and includes a third-shift schedule with weekend hours. Security positions are available full-time and part-time. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided. Applicants with retail, food service, or hospitality experience may be a good fit. Employment requires passing a drug screen and background check, and meeting and maintaining applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements.

Requirements

• Must have a TWIC card.
• Must be able to work third shift, including weekend hours.
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to complete patrols.
• Must have strong technology skills, including use of a cell phone and computer.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
• Must be able to perform the role's stated physical activities, including frequent sitting, standing, and walking, potentially for long periods, and possibly climbing stairs and walking on inclines or uneven terrain.
• May be required to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security or customer service experience is a plus.
• Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background is considered a good fit.
