About The Position

This is a part-time position, requiring 20 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours being paid. The role involves being on call from Friday at 4:00pm to Monday at 8:00am. The schedule includes remote work on Fridays and Mondays, and in-office work on Saturdays and Sundays. The position requires a criminal background check, and LaJoy Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.

Requirements

  • Two to three years of previous experience in customer service or in the home health care field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, and other Office Applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to relate to internal and external customers and clients, alike, at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, able to multi-task and stay cool under pressure.
  • High level of independent problem solving.
  • This job requires a criminal background check. Convictions and pending felony charges are not an absolute bar to employment and will only be considered if required by law or there is a substantial relationship to the circumstances of the particular job or if bond ability is at issue.

  • Previous experience working with a vulnerable population or customers preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls to assist with call-offs, coverage, incident reports, etc. Follow up communication (re phone calls or text messages) is required.
  • Manage and document daily attendance, vacation requests, and other schedule changes.
  • Proactively contact employees daily to fill open shifts and cases, effectively communicating client needs before acceptance. Document as required.
  • Send daily text and email alerts to employees regarding open schedules.
  • Complete all required documentation in regard to changes in software, spreadsheets, etc. Detail is required.
  • Assist employees as necessary with documentation to be completed accurately and timely.
  • Conduct phone interviews, contact references and extend job offers.
  • Administrative tasks including filing, opening mail, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
