About The Position

Bear Creek Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a warm, professional, and customer service-driven Weekend Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, vendors, and staff. This role is much more than answering phones; the front desk helps create the overall first impression of our community. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, welcoming, organized, and able to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate understands the importance of professionalism, patience, communication, and hospitality when interacting with residents, families, and guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative experience in a healthcare facility is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, positive, and service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in a busy healthcare environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using computers, phones, and office equipment
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled rotating weekends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional appearance and conduct required
  • Must meet all background screening and health requirements

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors, residents, families, and vendors with professionalism and kindness
  • Provide outstanding customer service while assisting with questions, directions, and visitor needs
  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
  • Transfer calls accurately and take detailed messages
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, scanning, and basic office support
  • Handle meal payments, receipts, and cash box balancing
  • Assist with Resident Trust transactions, including petty cash disbursements and deposits, while maintaining accurate records
  • Protect resident privacy and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Support daily operations and communicate concerns appropriately to leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned
