Weekend Production Lab Technician Part-time - Rio & Windsor, WI
About The Position
ABS Global, a Genus company, is seeking Temporary Part-Time Production Lab Technicians to join their Weekend Production Lab team in Rio & Windsor, Wisconsin. These positions will assist with production processes, including assembly, processing, and packaging within a state-of-the-art laboratory environment. The roles offer flexible weekend shifts with potential for additional weekday hours, and are expected to continue through September and potentially beyond. This is an opportunity for individuals looking to supplement income, gain laboratory experience, or explore careers in the biotech and agriculture industries.
Requirements
- Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to list/transfer 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on always maintaining the highest level of quality.
- Ability to perform basic math skills.
- Ability to utilize a computer, keyboard, and mouse to accomplish work tasks (including but is not limited to the ability to look at computer monitor screens for the entirety of assigned shift).
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a production laboratory, manufacturing environments are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follow SOP and maintain lab documentation.
- Provide accurate, timely and quality packaging of bovine semen in accordance with ABS standards.
- Learn other ancillary processes throughout the production lab as business needs necessitate.
- Adhere to proper cleaning, sanitation and sterilization protocols for all processing and collection of equipment.
- Provide ideas for improvement in the work environment.
- Communicate issues to appropriate personnel (leads, supervisors, manager, support group).
- Perform all assigned duties based on daily production needs.
- Follow safe work procedures and report any incidences.
- Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
