About The Position
Wexford House is seeking a compassionate, reliable Weekend Nurse (LPN or RN) to join its care team in Kingsport, Tennessee. The position is scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and offers a weekend pay rate. The nurse directs daily CNA activities, supports resident care and transitions, administers medications, and maintains resident confidentiality.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted LPN or RN license for the state of Tennessee.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Direct the daily activities of CNAs and ensure nursing personnel follow policies and procedures.
- Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.
- Assess residents’ conditions and prepare and administer medications according to physician orders.
- Initiate, review, and update care plans.
- Report changes in residents’ conditions to the nurse supervisor and keep the supervisor informed of factors that interfere with performing assigned work.
- Perform other duties assigned by clinical or administrative leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information in verbal, written, and electronic communications.
