About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Weekend Warrior Dining Room Manager to join our team at The Crestone Senior Living in Olathe, Kansas. This is a full-time position responsible for ensuring the dining room is immaculate and that residents receive impeccable service. The role involves being a welcoming host, preparing for meal services, maintaining cleanliness, and observing resident dining habits. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old, have previous experience leading a hospitality team, understand resident care needs, possess a food server permit, and have strong English communication skills. A positive, energetic attitude and the ability to perform physical tasks are essential.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the dining room is prefect and the service residents receive is impeccable.
  • Greeting residents and making them feel welcome, being present in the dining room, mingling, entertaining, and fostering an environment where residents can connect.
  • Preparing tables for service, salads for meals, or rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness about poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals.
