About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Weekend Warrior Dining Room Manager for The Crestone Senior Living in Olathe, Kansas. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $22.00-$24.00 per hour and a $3K sign-on bonus. The role involves ensuring the dining room is immaculate and providing impeccable service to residents. Responsibilities include greeting residents, fostering a welcoming environment, preparing tables and meals, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes, communicating any concerns to supervisors and Wellness staff. The ideal candidate will be at least eighteen years old, possess previous experience leading a hospitality team, have knowledge of resident care and supervision requirements, hold a food server permit, and communicate effectively in English. A positive and energetic attitude is essential, along with the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. The candidate must also be able to assist residents with mobility and be criminally cleared and in good health, verified by a physician's screening.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

  • Prepping tables for service, salads for the next meal, or rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
  • Communicating when residents are absent from meals.
