About The Position
Capitol View Home Health is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our growing team providing weekend care throughout Washington, DC. This role offers consistent weekend hours, one-on-one patient care, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact while maintaining flexibility during the week. We provide personalized care that helps patients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. This role focuses exclusively on one-on-one patient care, with no facility assignments or caring for multiple residents at once.
Requirements
- Active Washington, DC Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification Required
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to work independently in patients' homes
Nice To Haves
- Previous home care experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping related to patient care
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
- Complete timely and accurate documentation according to company guidelines
