About The Position
Human Touch Home Health is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our growing team serving patients throughout the Capitol View area of Washington, DC. This PRN opportunity offers flexibility, meaningful one-on-one care, and the chance to make a real difference in someone's life every day. As a Home Health Aide, you'll help patients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. Every visit is an opportunity to bring compassion, dignity, and hope to someone who needs it. This role focuses on personalized, one-on-one care, with no facility assignments or caring for multiple residents at once.
Requirements
- Active Washington, DC Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification Required
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to work independently in patients' homes
Nice To Haves
- Previous home care experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping related to patient care
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
- Complete timely and accurate documentation according to company guidelines
