About The Position

Urban Tailz is looking for pet lovers who share our values of reliability, communication, and consistency to join our team! As one of Chicago's longest-running dog-walking & pet-sitting businesses, we bring decades of experience in providing organized, efficient, and trustworthy service for both our clients and staff. As a part-time, W2 Daytime Dog Walker, you'll ensure our clients' dogs are happy, healthy, and well cared for during weekend walks. Requirements

• Some availability on both Saturday & Sunday between 8am-8pm
• Vehicle Required
• Reliable commute to Chicago service areas listed above
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a minimum age of 18.
• Capable of withstanding all weather conditions outside and several hours of walking each day.
• A smartphone with a data plan for communication and tracking walks.
• Open to last-minute requests
• Willing to pick-up/ drop-off keys from the office; this could be multiple times throughout the week if necessary

Nice To Haves

• Paid training and hands-on education in dog behavior.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dogs in each household to outside with appropriate safety gear
• Lead 30-60 minute walks and active play sessions
• Administer food, water, or medication per client instructions.
• Clean up after pups outdoors and indoors as needed.
• Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes.
• Build strong rapport with pets and their owners
