About The Position
Dog Walker position at Furmaids Pet Services, a family-owned, highly rated pet care company in Eastern Monmouth County. We are a force-free company focused on well-being, using positive reinforcement methods and avoiding aversive equipment. We prioritize safety, special care for pets, and going the extra mile for clients. We serve over 60 active clients and are looking for caring individuals to join our growing team. Requirements
- Availability between 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday-Friday and one Saturday per month.
- Commitment to at least 10 hours per week.
- Ability to make a long-term commitment.
- Must NOT work for any other pet care companies such as Rover.
- Must have a smart phone and computer with internet access.
- Must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Live in or near the service area (Asbury Park to Belmar, Neptune, Neptune City).
- Flexible schedule.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Alignment with force-free values and a kind heart.
- Ability to work independently and be resourceful.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Some level of animal intuition and ability to read dog body language.
- Must be an animal-lover with endless amounts of patience.

Responsibilities
- Perform 5-10 dog walks per day, with visits back-to-back within a specific timeframe.
- Walk dogs of all shapes and sizes, including high-energy dogs and potentially walking two dogs at a time.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during walks.
- Communicate clearly with clients and staff through notes and updates.
- Travel within a 10-mile radius of home for client visits.
- Walk in all weather conditions.
