About The Position

The Weekend Construction Cleaner maintains cleanliness and safety across active construction zones by removing debris, dust, and hazardous materials. The role includes cleaning floors, surfaces, restrooms, food service areas, facilities, and equipment; assisting with seasonal tasks; and reporting needed repairs or safety concerns. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience or formal education is required. The position is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, either 5:00 AM–5:00 PM or 5:00 PM–5:00 AM, at 175 PR 1604, Abilene, TX 79601. Pay is $22–$25.30 per hour. Applicants must be able to speak and understand either English or Spanish; bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to speak and understand either English or Spanish to receive work instructions, understand safety requirements, and communicate with supervisors.
No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required.

Nice To Haves

One year of similar work experience in janitorial or construction environments.
Customer service experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain construction site facilities, including trailers, restrooms, and common areas.
Use chemical cleaners and power equipment according to procedures to avoid damaging surfaces and fixtures.
Notify the supervisor of needed repairs or safety concerns.
Communicate effectively with site personnel, supervisors, and team members.
Comply with company and regulatory safety, security, compliance, and quality standards.
Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, and equipment.
Move boxes, crates, and equipment manually or with hand trucks to access cleaning areas.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate tools and solutions.
Wash and replace blinds as needed.
Gather and dispose of construction debris and trash.
Perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, or removing snow.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and food service areas.
