Weekend Construction Cleaner
About The Position
ABM is hiring a reliable and experienced Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across active construction zones. The role supports a safe and efficient work environment by removing debris, dust, and hazardous materials, cleaning floors, surfaces, restrooms, and equipment, and assisting with seasonal tasks. The position also involves reporting minor maintenance needs and safety concerns. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, either 5:00 AM–5:00 PM or 5:00 PM–5:00 AM. The pay is $22–$25.30 per hour. The job is located at 175 PR 1604, Abilene, TX 79601. No prior experience or high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required; on-the-job training is provided.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to speak and understand either English or Spanish to receive work instructions, understand safety requirements, and communicate with supervisors.

Nice To Haves
- One year of similar work experience in janitorial or construction environments.
- Customer service experience.

Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain construction site facilities, including trailers, restrooms, and common areas.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to surfaces and fixtures.
- Notify the supervisor of needed repairs or safety concerns.
- Maintain effective communication with site personnel, supervisors, and team members.
- Comply with company and regulatory safety, security, compliance, and quality standards.
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, and equipment.
- Move boxes, crates, and equipment manually or with hand trucks to access cleaning areas.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate tools and solutions.
- Wash and replace blinds as needed.
- Gather and dispose of construction debris and trash.
- Perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, or removing snow.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and food service areas.
