About The Position

EverNest Home Care is hiring in-home caregivers to provide non-medical care for elderly clients and people recovering from surgery, injuries, or accidents. Caregivers support clients with personal care, daily activities, mobility, meals, medication reminders, shopping, and household tasks. The role calls for compassionate, responsible care and availability for different shifts, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be eager to improve and learn new skills.
Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every day.
CNA, HHA, or PCA certification and/or commensurate work experience.
Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
Availability for different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
At least 1 year of prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment.
Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Negative criminal history.
Take pride in providing high-quality care.

Nice To Haves

CPR/BLS/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance with personal hygiene and activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and feeding.
Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
Help clients move around their home and accompany them outside, including to appointments and walks.
Assist with personal care and hygiene, prepare meals, and help with physical therapy exercises.
Complete clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping.
Perform housekeeping duties and report unusual incidents.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
