About The Position
HomeWell Care Services is seeking a caregiver available to work weekends. The caregiver works directly with clients in their homes, following individualized one-on-one care plans. The role involves providing attentive, personalized care and companionship, building genuine relationships, and helping maintain a healthy environment that meets clients’ needs. Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and attention to detail are important. Prior home health or hospice experience is a plus.
Requirements
- HHA or CNA qualification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of prior professional experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation.
- CPR certification.
- Availability to work weekends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, organization, and commitment to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs.
Nice To Haves
- Prior home health or hospice experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities, including moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and automobiles.
- Change bed linens, do laundry, clean clients’ homes, and assist with personal care.
- Maintain records of client care, condition, progress, and problems; report and discuss observations with a supervisor.
- Build relationships with clients through conversation or reading aloud to support mental health and alertness.
- Engage patients in exercises and other activities.
