About The Position

AC Hotel Boston Downtown, a Colwen Hotels property, is seeking an experienced and friendly Weekend Breakfast Server to provide memorable guest experiences in the restaurant. The server welcomes guests, takes and delivers food and beverage orders, answers menu questions, and ensures meals meet guests’ expectations. The role also includes maintaining service areas, setting tables, processing guest checks and payments, and supporting other restaurant tasks. The employee may be required to perform a variety of duties in multiple departments during a shift.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work a seven-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a server preferred.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting, using the guest’s name whenever possible.
Take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen.
Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items.
Answer questions about the menu and maintain knowledge of menu items and their composition.
Ensure food is prepared correctly and to the guest’s satisfaction, returning incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen.
Collect plates and clear tables as guests finish their meals.
Follow applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and comply with state liquor policies.
Clean designated areas according to defined procedures.
Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked.
Set tables to standards and ensure items are clean and in good repair.
Prepare guest checks and collect payment.
Assist with other restaurant tasks, including cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
Perform other related duties as assigned, including duties in multiple departments during a shift.
