Weed abatement technician is responsible for controlling unwanted plant growth around critical infrastructure like well sites, pipelines, and storage tanks. This role is vital for reducing fire hazards and ensuring safe access to operational areas. Job duties include but not limited to:Removing flammable grasses and brush using hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power equipment such as weed eaters, mowers, and chainsaws. Mixing and applying herbicides to prevent regrowth, following strict safety protocols and environmental regulations. Performing daily routine cleaning and minor repairs on portable power tools and spray rigs to ensure they are in good working order. Adhering to company policies and procedures and filling out all required paperwork before starting work Maintaining accurate logs of work performed, including chemical usage, hours worked, and site conditions. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and walking on irregular surfaces in all weather conditions weather.
