About The Position

The New Jersey Judiciary Information Technology Office (ITO) is seeking a business Intelligence Developer to join a high-performing team in delivering reports that meet coding and design standards for maintainability, usability, performance, security and accessibility. This individual will work closely with team members, management, and users to design, develop, support and enhance Judiciary Business Intelligence Solution. Successful individual will possess good understanding of basic Business Intelligence concept. Candidate will develop and support enterprise analytics BI applications (WebFOCUS/Tableau/PowerBI) including full life cycle responsibilities from getting requirements to building and delivering reports with documentation and production support.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, business analytics, data analytics and/or cybersecurity and three years of professional experience in: analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems, testing, defining business requirements, training and/or installing computer systems applications OR planning, acquiring, installing and implementing telecommunications facilities and services, wide area networks, or local area networks OR generating and maintaining system software OR business analysis which may include defining and gathering business and functional requirements, analyzing and validating data and/or documenting test plans OR business analytics OR data analytics.
  • Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying on a year for year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
  • A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university and one year of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.
  • An associate degree from an accredited college or university, in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, business analytics, data analytics and/or cybersecurity and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.
  • An associate degree in any field from an accredited college or university and three years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, business analytics, data analytics and/or cybersecurity may be substituted for the required education OR one year of experience.
  • Individuals who have successfully completed internships within the Central Office Information Technology Office; ATCSU; Data Analytics, Research and Statistics Office; and/or the Information Security Unit may substitute their experience as interns for the required professional experience with one such year of intern experience being equivalent to six months of professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, Build and Deploy reports that address business requirement using Business Intelligence tools such as WebFOCUS/Tableau/PowerBI
  • Create and maintain Ad-hoc reporting environment for users.
  • Plan and manage user requirement gathering sessions to understand requirement
  • Provide production support for current Business Intelligence environment
  • Create and follow the best practices and standards in Business Intelligence tool set
  • Create and maintain HTML, JAVA scripting
  • Create and maintain User security
  • Lead the individual projects and delivers in timely manner
  • Provide expert level support on the toolset.
