Open source has been a foundation of the company’s work since 2007. Appnovation works with organizations in highly regulated industries, including Pfizer, Google, and AstraZeneca. The role description is for a Full-Stack Developer / AI Design-to-Dev. The engineer transforms business ideas into production-ready applications using AI design tools and modern full-stack frameworks, with a strong emphasis on frontend development and the early stages of product development from concept through prototype. The role calls for rapidly generating components with AI-augmented tools, then building complete applications to enterprise standards for accessibility, performance, responsive design, and scalability. The engineer joins a team that experiments and moves rapidly from concepts to production-ready applications.

Requirements

At least 6 years of full-stack development experience with strong frontend expertise in modern UI frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Nuxt.js.
Proven experience with PHP and Python.
Hands-on experience with AI design tools such as v0.dev, bolt.new, Lovable, or similar platforms.
Experience with specification-driven development such as GitHub Spec-kit and Open Spec.
Experience with workflow automation platforms such as N8N.
A strong track record of delivering production-grade full-stack applications.
Solid understanding of backend development, including API design (REST and GraphQL), server-side logic, and database management.
Experience with Supabase and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
Proficiency with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT, and security best practices.
Understanding of caching strategies, performance optimization, and scalability patterns.
Deep understanding of design systems, design tokens, and component-driven development.
Expert-level Figma proficiency, including design-system management and component libraries.
Experience with CSS frameworks such as TailwindCSS and modern styling approaches.
Strong collaboration and creative problem-solving skills.
Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript/ES6+ features.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for innovation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
A portfolio showcasing full-stack applications built, including work with design systems and AI design tools.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a startup or rapid-prototyping environment.
Experience with NodeJS and Express.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

Rapidly transform concepts into interactive prototypes using v0.dev, bolt.new, Lovable, and similar AI design tools.
Build full-stack applications from prototype to production, emphasizing frontend quality and sound backend foundations.
Align components with design systems and brand guidelines, including design tokens, color palettes, typography, and spacing.
Develop production-ready UI components with modern frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, and Nuxt.js, following accessibility, performance, and responsive-design best practices.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services, including with platforms such as Supabase.
Manage application data using SQL and NoSQL databases.
Implement authentication and caching strategies, and optimize application performance across the stack.
Collaborate with UX Designers, AI Builders, and Innovation Leads throughout the development lifecycle.
Use GitHub Spec-kit and/or Open Spec to streamline development workflows and maintain specification standards.
Use Figma and design-system tooling to maintain component libraries and support design-to-development handoff.
Document design decisions and technical implementation in Jira as part of the ticket-driven workflow.
