The Web Accessibility Specialist will be an integral part of the Digital Department’s Web Team, responsible for ensuring that digital content is accessible to users of all abilities and complies with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with various departments and vendors to develop and apply solutions to meet accessibility standards. This position will audit and identify accessibility issues across all platforms, implement remediation strategies, and integrate accessibility into museum processes. This role will perform user testing including keyboard-only navigation, screen reader testing, and other assistive technologies to provide a high-quality user experience consistent with the Frick’s values. As part of the Web team, the Web Accessibility Specialist will support various digital publishing projects, help meet project deadlines and work with the Frick’s content management system (Drupal), various web-based platforms, e-commerce platforms, email marketing campaigns, and other assigned initiatives, as needed.
