About The Position

Action Pact is a community action agency dedicated to improving lives and communities for over 50 years. We are seeking a full-time Weatherization Field Technician to assist with carrying out weatherization policies with minimum supervision. This role primarily involves outdoor work and contact with employees and clients at all levels. General carpentry skills are recommended.

Requirements

Minimum GED, High School Diploma preferred
General knowledge in Carpentry or related field.
English language proficiency.
Comply with Weatherization contracts and grants.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
Must have reliable automobile, liability insurance, and a valid driver’s license.
7-year MVR required.
Safety conscious.
High School Diploma or GED.
Two years of experience in Carpentry or related field.
Good communication and organizational skills.

General carpentry skills recommended.

Responsibilities

Carry out assigned duties according to agency weatherization policies.
Comply with all weatherization program grants, awards, contracts, and agreements.
Attend agency and weatherization meetings, workshops, training, seminars, and other activities.
Learn to perform duties according to GEFA and OSHA Safety Training.
Learn to perform weatherization work on site-built and mobile homes.
Learn safety procedures for all weatherization tools and equipment.
Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, crawl through attics, etc.
Work in environments where insect bites may occur.
Work with blown insulation and fiberglass insulation.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.
Learn to use weatherization tools to analyze homes.
Perform computer data entry as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
