About The Position

Action Pact is a community action agency dedicated to improving lives and communities. For over 50 years, we have partnered with local organizations to empower individuals and families towards success. We are seeking a full-time Weatherization Field Technician to assist in carrying out weatherization policies with minimal supervision. This role primarily involves outdoor work and interaction with employees and clients. General carpentry skills are recommended.

Requirements

Minimum GED, High School Diploma preferred
General knowledge in Carpentry or related field.
Two years of experience in Carpentry or related field.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
Must have reliable automobile, liability insurance, and a valid driver’s license.
7-year MVR required.
Safety conscious
Drug-Free workplace.

General carpentry skills recommended.

Responsibilities

Carry out assigned duties according to agency weatherization policies.
Comply with all weatherization program grants, awards, contracts, and agreements.
Attend agency and weatherization meetings, workshops, training, seminars, and other activities.
Learn to perform duties according to GEFA and OSHA Safety Training.
Learn to perform weatherization work on site-built and mobile homes.
Learn safety procedures for all weatherization tools and equipment.
Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, crawl through attics, etc.
Work in environments where insect bites may occur.
Work with blown insulation and fiberglass insulation.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.
Learn to use weatherization tools to analyze homes.
Perform computer data entry as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
