About The Position

Provide individualized, highly strategic investment consulting to members of ICCU. Develop ongoing financial planning with member focus to help accomplish their goals. Partner with a skilled team on credit and other financial services to offer a full array of solutions to members and prospects. This role may also provide opportunity for expanded responsibilities supporting members with more complex financial needs in partnership with other internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
  • Experience as a financial or investment advisor required.
  • For Wealth Advisor II, 3–6 years of relevant advisor experience is required.
  • For Wealth Advisor III, 7+ years of relevant advisor experience is required.
  • FINRA Series 7 plus 63 and 65 or 66 securities licensing required.
  • State of Idaho , Washington and Arizona Life, Health, and Disability Insurance licenses required.
  • Must maintain a high standard of work ethic and relationships with members and team members.
  • Highly self-motivated, creative, goal-oriented, and results-driven with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Must be able to deliver a unique member experience and build strong relationships with members.
  • Must comply with FINRA and SEC guidelines and regulations.
  • Must be professional in appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed.
  • Ability to work under pressure and through conflicting situations is essential.
  • Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.
  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20–40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
  • Must be eligible for membership at ICCU to obtain employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CFP preferred for Wealth Advisor III.
  • Experience in a financial institution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional member service in accordance with ICCU and ICCU Wealth Management standards.
  • Engage with members both in person and virtually, nurturing new client relationships and managing existing ones.
  • Provide comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to members.
  • Service existing clients and perform periodic reviews of their financial plans and investments.
  • Document the appropriateness of investment recommendations and evaluate risk tolerance.
  • Stay informed about regulations impacting Financial Planning, Securities, and Insurance products.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records as required by federal, state, broker/dealer, and IC CU WM standards.
  • Refer members to the Credit Union for their deposit and loan needs.
  • Always comply with FINRA Rules of Fair Practice.
  • Be available for travel as needed.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for client investment strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop innovative financial solutions for clients.
  • Participate in continuing education programs to maintain professional certifications and licenses.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to promote financial planning services.
  • Mentor junior advisors and provide guidance on complex financial planning issues, as requested.
  • Develop and implement advanced investment strategies for clients with more complex financial needs.
  • Depending on experience and business need, may have opportunity to support high-net-worth members with complex needs in partnership with Private Client, Business Relationship, and Commercial teams.
  • At more senior levels, may assist with advisor development, strategic initiatives, and external relationship-building opportunities.
  • Develop integrated wealth strategies addressing investments, retirement, tax-efficient planning, insurance, estate planning, charitable giving, and wealth transfer objectives.
  • Manage or establish a book of business with recurring commensurate revenue.
  • Other duties as assigned.
