About The Position
MMT Ambulance is seeking compassionate EMS professionals to join their growing team in North Canton, OH. This role involves safely operating a wheelchair van to transport patients, ensuring their security and comfort, and maintaining the vehicle and equipment. Requirements
- Current CPR
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress
- Possess good verbal communication skills
- High School diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a Wheelchair Van while in compliance with all laws pertaining to the operation of the vehicle while transporting patients
- Interact professionally with other health care personnel
- Interact professionally with disabled, disadvantaged, sick, and injured persons
- Complete daily vehicle inspection and equipment checklist
- Cleaning of vehicles (inside and out)
- Cleans all equipment following appropriate disinfecting procedures
- Restocks and replace used lines, blankets, and other supplies
- Makes careful check of all equipment so that van is ready for the next run
- Maintains van in efficient operating condition
- Collecting payments and issuing receipts if needed
- Secures all passengers in van per the Company Passenger Securement Policy
- Responsible for safe loading/unloading of all passengers
- Ensures all reports, letter, and documentation are accurate and completed in a timely fashion
- Maintain a clean appearance, demonstrating courteous, processional and ethical behavior
