Wax Specialist (Licensed Cosmetologist or Esthetician)
About The Position
European Wax Center, a beauty lifestyle brand founded in 2004, offers waxing services and proprietary beauty products in a modern, luxurious environment. UPMA Group is a franchise partner that offers associates opportunities to grow within the organization. The Wax Specialist performs full-body waxing services for women and men using European Wax Center’s proprietary comfort wax and techniques. New hires begin as “Hub-lets,” receiving training from Regional Wax Trainers in a collaborative classroom environment. Specialists educate guests about waxing frequency and recommend products for at-home results. They also keep the wax suite clean, sanitized, and stocked in accordance with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) safety and health procedures. The position offers technical and leadership career paths, including advancement to Peer Trainer and Regional Wax Trainer or to Assistant Center Manager and Center Experience Manager. Scheduling is varied and flexible to meet guest needs, and specialists must work at least one full weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) each week. An active Texas Esthetician or Cosmetologist license is strictly required. Brazilian waxing for male guests is optional and requires specialized advanced training.
Requirements
- An active Texas Esthetician or Cosmetologist license.
- Comfort performing all face and body waxing services for male and female guests.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and at least one full weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) every week.
- Hardworking, honest, punctual, coachable, and eager to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality full-body waxing services for women and men using EWC’s proprietary techniques and comfort wax.
- Educate guests about waxing frequency and recommend EWC proprietary products for maintaining results at home.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and fully stocked wax suite in compliance with Texas TDLR safety and health procedures.
- Participate in new-hire training with Regional Wax Trainers and learn EWC techniques.
