WAX SPECIALIST
About The Position
As a Wax Specialist at European Wax Center, you deliver waxing services that help create a positive, confidence-boosting experience for guests. The role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to guest satisfaction and the Artemis Wax Core Values: “We are Team Players,” “We Play to Win,” “We Bring the Energy,” and “We are Committed.” Wax Specialists perform services according to Artemis Wax and European Wax Center standards, protocols, patterns, and techniques; build and retain a guest base; educate guests about products; and maintain cleanliness and sanitation. The position also involves meeting brand-standard key performance indicators, modeling expected behaviors, and contributing to a positive, professional work environment. Work is primarily indoors in a moderate, controlled-temperature environment. The specialist must be able to adapt to changing activity, communicate with guests and colleagues, accept constructive feedback, and perform the physical tasks described in the posting. Job duties and work hours may change as business needs dictate.
Requirements
- Valid state Esthetician or Cosmetology license.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for clear, effective guest consultations.
- Strong attention to detail for precise and efficient waxing services.
- Self-motivation and a process-focused approach.
- Ability to adapt to varying guest preferences and comfort levels.
- Knowledge of skincare and waxing products, with the ability to recommend products based on guest needs.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Adherence to state sanitation and licensing requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in stressful environments, communicate with others, and accept constructive feedback from direct supervisors.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in activity as business requires.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit as required; maneuver between simultaneous functions; and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate with clients, coworkers, and management.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality waxing services following Artemis Wax and European Wax Center standards, patterns, protocols, and techniques.
- Build a book of business and retain guests by using rebooking scripts and delivering a satisfying guest experience.
- Educate guests about European Wax Center products to enhance their experience and results.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards in all waxing suites.
- Maintain Wax Specialist key performance indicators according to brand standards.
- Contribute to a positive, professional work environment and uphold Artemis Wax Core Values.
- Train and role-model behaviors and processes established by European Wax Center.
