About The Position

The Wax Assembler performs the operations and uses equipment needed to assemble wax patterns efficiently. The role includes inspecting components and assembled patterns, determining whether patterns meet specifications, and routing patterns to the appropriate station or operator. The position requires following procedures, maintaining productivity and quality standards, adhering to safety requirements, and keeping the work area and equipment clean and orderly. Flexibility between assembly and wax dress departments is required.

Requirements

• Demonstrate proficiency with applicable procedure instructions.
• Learn job specifications for new customers and changes to existing customer specifications.
• Demonstrate good communication skills; teamwork is essential.
• Be flexible between assembly and wax dress departments.
• Meet defined visual acuity requirements when required.
• Meet color perception standards needed for job requirements when required.
• Complete additional training for applicable SOPs or certifications when required.
• Be able to sit 50% of the day and stand 50% of the day.
• Be able to lift molds weighing up to 35 pounds every 45 minutes during the day.

• Bilingual Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wax pattern clusters according to procedures (PEI/SOP).
• Inspect components before and after assembly for potential casting defect contributors.
• Visually check for broken corners, lugs, missing pins, and correct serial numbers.
• Determine whether patterns are acceptable according to specifications.
• Return acceptable and unacceptable patterns to the appropriate stations or operators.
• Record work performed on clusters in Lot Control and affix acquired identification to molds.
• Meet productivity and quality requirements.
• Follow safety rules and wear required PPE at all times.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean, orderly, and safe.
• Comply with applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervision.
