The role also includes dressing of pour cups, attaching finished patterns to trees, and attaching pour cups to pattern gating. If performing gating work, assembly of plastic or wax cross arms and vent plugs must be completed. Reporting of finished pieces into the computer inventory system via data entry is also a key function. Additionally, the role involves preparation of cores (if working on IGT patterns) and blue sealing (if working on plastic/wax patterns).
